According to the Ministry of Digital Economy, the country currently has 33,345,000 subscribers to mobile telecommunications services and 13,000,000 mobile Internet subscribers. A sector boosted by the arrival in the local landscape of smartphones imported from Asia and less expensive, 3G in 2012 and optical fiber in 2013 with a deployment of a length of 1,400 km southwest, 549 km to North-east ; in 2017 the deployment throughout the territory was finalized over 7,000 km, linking all the administrative and economic poles of the country, thus promoting the arrival of 4G.
